Thinking of going to Croatia in a couple of weeks. Anybody want to tell me anything I should know or look out for.

Are there Aires or similar.

Is English widely spoken.

Anybody found a good site near to towns as we are motorhomers.

In fact any info would be gratefully received.

Stick to main roads ( avoid short cuts ); we ended up on what we would describe as bridleways.

Not aware of any aires.

Had no problem with language as it seemed most of the younger people in campsite offices spoke English. All very friendly in our experience.

Would like to go back sometime, last time we only went as far south as the island of Rab.

I think that Plitvice Lakes are worth a visit - especially on a sunny day - regular bus runs shuttle service from Korana campsite.

( Well it did 3 or 4 years ago !)

We only went as far as Rovinj lovely scenic seaside town bit like St Tropez without the boats but far prettier. Croatia is not cheap nor particularily expensive, Italy seemed cheaper in supermarkets, meals out in Rovinj were quite good value. We did get the impression, given half a chance you could easily find yourself paying over the odds so vigilence on prices is a must. Campsites we saw were fairly good.
