insignia Posted August 17, 2010 Share Posted August 17, 2010 Since I wont have a spare wheel on my new van is it a good idea to have tyre protector put into the tyres.This the first time I have'nt had a spare on any vehical I asked my wife and she said anything that saves her from having to change the wheel must be a good thing. rupert123 Posted August 17, 2010 Share Posted August 17, 2010 I have not had a spare since 2008 and although would rather have one do not worry about it at all. I filled my tyres with Puncturesafe to try and minimise the risk of puncture. It would be wise to check with your rescue service if they will attend a call out for a puncture if you have no spare. Mine, Green Flag, will if your van did not have one from new and you carry the emergency inflator kit, I did obtain this in writing from them.
