ian81
Hi This post is aimed at those Motorhomers with motorhomes registered in France!! Finding insurance at reasonable prices is no problem but I am struggling to get my head round the best 0km assistance. What is the best breakdown assitance cover that you have found? What experiences have you of IAM / MAFF Assistance / Mondial? Many thanks Ian
Randonneur
Most of the Insurances here in France include breakdown insurance. All our vehicles are Insured with Generali, Riberac, Mr Arnoux and his colleague both speak English and recently he has saved us about £300 on the total of our Insurances from a different Generali Agent. I have not heard of anyone taking out a separate breakdown Insurance.
ian81
Thanks for your response: the issue is that they price on several quotes is much the same -the difference seems to be in the bundled assistance. Most 'stock market quoted' insurance companies and brokers seem to include 'Mondial' where as many of the 'mutuelles' use IAM and Macif have there own. The difference is in the number of days and type of protection in the event of a breakdown. (i.e. replacement vehicle type / hotel expenses and number of days). There is also a stand alone policy for €160 from http://www.starmobilservices.fr/index.htm
