hallii
Now I am not a man to get upset easily, and having been educated at the finest state secondary modern school, technical college and finally obtaining my degree after five years part time study I still do not consider myself educated. Some subjects, like English are a bit dubious and I frequently have to use spell checker. BUT, for crying out loud, LOOSE means something that is not fixed properly, rattling around, about to fall off or whatever. LOSE means to have lost it, disappeared or not to have won. So write out 100 times "I will not lose the meaning of loose". Rant over, I now feel better. Hallii

spospe
Hallii There there, their loose spelling has caused you to lose your patience and it's a shame that they also don't know its very annoying to those of us wot have been brung up to spell proper like. Michael (or Micheal as one forum member spells it) ;-)
Andy_C
It's because it's counter-intuitive, people expect the long 'o' sound to be 'oo' and the short 'o' sound to be 'o' I'm forever getting it wrong - much to the annoyance of the OH :-) I rant about people who put an apostrophe before the 's' in plural nouns... Guest Tracker
There are clearly sum errors in this little ditty - can you spot them? For example - 'review' should be 'revue' 'shows' should be 'shews' 'soon' should be 'sewn' Any more - anyone?
