Maubern Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Can any one help please Is it possible to change the micro switch without taking the tap out on the WHB
lennyhb Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Not sure what tap you have but all the taps I've seen you can normally remove the tap head usually a grub screw holding it & the micro switch is then exposed. I fitted a relay in line with the pump on my van to prolong the live of the micro switches.
Derek Uzzell Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Maubern Taps vary in design. Some have access to their micro-switches as lennyhb describes; on others (most others?) the switches are located on the lower part of the tap's body and will be beneath the work-surface. In the latter case, even if it's theoretically feasible to change the switch without removing the tap from the work-surface, lack of access often makes this impossible. On some taps, if a micro-switch fails, then the complete tap has to be replaced. Basically, it's going to depend on the make/model of tap and how the converter has installed it in your motorhome. (Is this still a (year unrevealed) Mercedes-based Auto-Trail Scout?)
Guest Tracker Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 With respect - are you certain the switch is on the tap and not part of the pump as is usual with most vans these days?
