Conkers Bonkers

A four year old girl in Nottingham got hit on the head by a stick which fell out of a chestnut tree........just over a year ago.

 

One year later Nottingham City Council send out a cherry picker to the 'offending' tree to remove any other sticks thrown up by children to get the conkers, and at the same time shook all the branches to send all the conkers to the ground.

 

Have we all gone totally bonkers or what? *-)

Person (s) responsible for this decision should ask themselves if they're for for purpose. By the way - you're not.

 

Members of the "I hate Daily Mail and/or There's No Truth Ever In The Daily Mail clubs, (Fully Paid Up members only section), as ever feel free to respond but perhaps directing your collective ire to Notts Council would be a better target?

This just sounds like continuing to cover our kids in cotton wool, it's an Accident, nature/act of god. Its not the tree's fault.

 

The locals should bombard the council with Conkers, lol

Ask yourself who reported the accident in the first place perhaps someone trying to get money from the council pehaps? Anothe score for the no blame without claim brigade. John >:-(
