Like many I purchased one of these SIM's which has stopped working.

At the suppliers suggestion I contacted vodafone ireland and received the following response:

Thank you for contacting us with your query. Please accept our apologies for the delay in responding to your query.

"Please be advised , Vodafone has disconnected this number as it is in breach of the terms and conditions of Vodafone's pay as you go service. We will not be reconnecting this number or transferring ownership on it.

Please return the sim card to the place of purchase.

If you have any further queries, please call us on CallSave 1747 from your mobile or 1850 20 40 20 from a landline between 08:00hrs to 22:00hrs and we will be happy to assist you.

Yours sincerely"

I have asked vodafone for a refund of the credit I put on the card and am wondering what to do next.

Shall I take the matter up with ebay or contact 'ComReg' the Irish regulator.

I feel that Vodafone Ireland should take some responsability as they supplied the SIM's originally.

Any thoughts??

If you have a problem take it up with the supplier then ebaY about the SIM deal.

You want your money back from Vodafone.ie then if they do not refund take it up with ComReg.

What did you do to get the message that it was no longer working. Many others still seem to be working OK.

IMHO It was obvious that this deal was exploiting a loophole. By partaking in this you/we should have been aware of the risk and have been prepared to take a loss if it went wrong.
