Door lock spares

Before I go surfing does anyone know where I can obtain a replacement spring for the inside of my van habitation door lock.?The spring is about 1/2" long with each end bent around to form a hook. There is no name on the lock but it is held in place by 5 screws and has a long pull handle below the twist to lock mech on the inside of the door.

Most engineering factors sell boxes of mixed springs. With a bit of luck, you should be OK.

 

Post the dia of the spring and I will check to see what I have got in my garage. I never chuck anything away. :D

If all else fails, I have used this company successfully over the last 3 decades (via work) & many occasions for a single spring, when we have not be able to source OEM spare, if we couldn't identify, obsolete or manufacturer had dissappeared, etc..

Don't worry about the technicalities, you could sent the existing to them in the post.

Thanks Flicka and 747, We live in the back of beyond here so it's difficult to find odd bits. I'll dismantle the lock (I made a temp repair while in France) and post the details to 747 before trying the link.
