flicka
On another thread Peedee posted a link to his/her website "Visitor Posts: 102 Location: 40 miles north of London I'm sure I could come up with a few more but have a look at my web site page http://www.wheelgotravelling.info/CaravanTravels_GB.html I have written this up for the disabled but it equally applies to those wishing to have facilities nearby. peedee" The link to his/her website has a further link to the Government's Blue Badge (parking) map service. http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/DisabledPeople/MotoringAndTransport/DG_10038295 BUT unfortunately the service is no longer available. "Use Directgov's interactive Blue Badge map online to find Blue Badge parking bays, local council parking rules, accessible public toilets, train stations, shopmobility centres, accessible beaches and much more near you and across the UK. Blue Badge map currently unavailable The Blue Badge map service is no longer available. You can find out where Blue Badge parking is available by visiting the relevant council website." We have used this in the past & found it very useful, especially for the Motorhome in Cities & Towns we are not familar with. I have sent an e-mail to the address shown, requesting they review the re-introduction of the service. Anyone wishing to see the re-introduction of the service, can e-mail them on:- odi.communications@dwp.gsi.gov.uk
