B-)

Met someone a few days ago who gave us number to put in to add 2 itv

channels into digibox.

It worked we are near Nerja (Malaga area) and get itv central s and e on our 40cm camos dome.

This is how to do it

Services 4 then 4 add channels then put in 11.978 and select find channels

itv central s and itv central e will come up tick and store then when you go into other channels (number 7) you will see the 2 itvs select and if you wait a few moments it will come on.

Hope this is of help to someone

Is this something that should work for any system or is it peculiar to the Camos ?

Stuart

Any system, but it has to be a Sky box with a viewing card.

Thank you for that, mine is just FTA box.

We tried this last year in Peniscola..but it never worked..in fact we had a whole list of input frequencies but no joy..we were informed we were right at the edge of the "Footprint" for the satellite!!

Still nothing ventured eh!!!

You can put it into your box before you leave the uk... once it is in it's there for you when you need it.

We know it works below Benidorm and south of Cartagena and as I said at the moment we are just north of Malaga and it is fine here.

Good luck!! B-)

It works because these channels are now on the Astra south beam, you should get them all over Spain on 60cm dish. We are 20 miles east of Malaga at the moment. at about 6.30pm we start losing ITV London and Central (W), it is then a matter of going into other channels and selecting the added channels Central S or E.

Sorry to be a pedant, but the ITVs are on the 2B North beam!!

You can also get the C4's on 12480, V, 27500, 2/3. (that's 2A North)

and the C5's on 12422, H, 27500, 2/3. (that's 2A South).

Yes you are right, that is why I lose them at 6.30pm; but ITV Central South and East are on the south beam, click on this link: http://www.motorhomefacts.com/ftopict-83652-itv.html all is explained.

The correct frequency is actually 11973 vertical - according to the Astra web site. It is in fact On Astra 2B (South transponder). By using 11973 rather than 11978 you should get a more accurate signal.

The 2 ITV Regions, on that frequency, are encrypted - therefore require a Sky card in a sky box to receive. Channels on Astra 2D are unencrypted and can be received by any FTA box.

There are other ITV regions on 12402 V But that is a 2B NORTH so not strong below Barcelona. Most of the rest of the ITV regions are on Astra 2D which is very weak in southern Europe.

The web site given says these are ITV HD channels and as such you would need a Sky HD box. Is this correct or have they been picked up on non HD Sky boxes?B-)

There are now two SD versions on the same transponder as the HD one, so any Sky box with card will be OK.
