nuevoboy
No, apart from the bug that's doing the rounds here! We're proud owners of our first .......what? It's a 2005 Autosleepers Nuevo. But is it a Motorcaravan, Motorhome, Campervan or what? Just wondering, as everyone seems to describe it differently.

Motorcaravan at the Caravan Club, motorhome most other places in UK, campercar in France, wohnmobile in Germany etc, etc. Take your pick.
yrocker
Just look on your V5, it probably says Motor Caravan because that is what the DVLA call them!

KeithR
i think its a matter of personal choice really. wohnmobil if you are deutsch, campingcar if you are french, and in england? i think camper is used for small or original or the famous VW, motorhome for most others, RV for the big 30ft or american stuff. its whatever you call it. as long as you love it, whats in a name?? we all know what you are talking about when you mention your pride and joy! Dave Newell
It is whatever you wish to refer to it as, totally a personal choice. I refer to mine variously as a camper or motorhome or sometimes "the van". A mate of mine who now has an Autotrail Grande Frontier A class calls it a camper as he did his previous motorhome which was an american RV. D. nuevoboy
honestly fred! We really do love the 'van ( as we shall call her). We too think of VW's and the like as Campervans and Motorhome sounds a bit grand. Motorcaravan is probably nearer the mark, although a bit of a mouthful, so 'van it'll be, methinks. Interestingly, friends of ours have bought a Duetto and they felt a bit intimidated by all the larger 'vans on their first couple of sites, so have decided to refer to theirs as a "starter home". In the RAF it was said "Officers have ladies, Sergeants have wives and Airmen have women". So perhaps it is, officers have motorhomes, sergeants have motorcaravans and airmen have campervans? t5tripper
My gorgeous T5 California is referred to as the Van. I know what another post says about feeling small next to all the big vans - we were parked amongst them on our last site and we did look tiny tiny, but we tried the big one and didn't like it - we love the VAN !
