Mel B
Has anyone had this? Thinking about it with Optimax (I think that's them!), they do various types, but not sure if its as good as the claims make it out to be. Anyone had it done and if so what method and what type of cost was it?

nowtelse2do
Hi Mel. My daughter is a nurse and has seen quite a few botch up's, these people had to be referred to The Manchester Royal Eye Hospital (St Mary's) to have corrective surgery. Most were successful but unfortunately a few weren't. I believe that this is one of the best eye hospital's in the world. When my daughter decided to have both her eye's done she went there and it was a complete success and has never had any problem's, she donated her glasses to some charity that wants them. The cost about two years ago was at a discount for her because she was in the NHS at £1800. without the discount it would have been £2200 this was for both eye's. She says that this is the most safest and best way to go about it.Don't let idiots mess with your eyes, go to the best.Dave

LordThornber
Hi Mel, sorry I can't answer your question as such but... An optician I used to know told me that if I ever thought of having it done, wait as long as you can, the reason being obvious of course - technology and procedures improve all the time. A former colleague had her eyes done, best thing she ever did were her words. Martyn
