nightrider
We haven't been out in the van for a long weekend for the last month or so and I really miss it. Our M/H is parked up in the yard behind the house and last night it was hammering down with the wind and rain and that is when I like being in the van all nice and warm tucked up in bed with a good book. So I turned the heating on and spent the night in the van listening to the howling wind and a very nice time i had all on my own, is this sad or what (?) Guest peter
Not sad at all Malcolm. I often feel like de-camping to the van in the winter. Lovely and cosy and save a bomb on heating as well. But I don't think the other half would agree to it.
Guest pelmetman
I like to spend time pottering around in the van when its out on the drive and could quite easily live in it full-time if the opportunity arose. Was chatting to a neighbour today who said how she and her husband dream of getting a motocaravan, I gave her a guided tour of ours and felt very lucky and would rather get rid of the house than the van. I have told my wife that if we have another winter like last year, there is no way I am staying in this mausoleum of a house freezing to death I am going to take up residence in my M/H where it is nice and cosy. This 6 bedroom house costs an arm and a leg to heat and the gas bills are going up all the time, dont know how they went on in days of old when they lived in castles, no wonder they had servants to warm the bed up first.
