A friend of mine phoned me this morning and he was spitting fire, some lousy so and so has slashed his 2 nearside tyres on his motorhome which was parked on the street at the side of his house, normally the M/H is parked on the drive but due to building work he had to park it on the street, an expensive bit of vandalism.

And people complain about CCTV. If it covered everywhere these toerags would be caught bang to rights. OK I know the arguements about civil rights etc etc etc but on balance I vote for CCTV.>:-)>:-)

But 'filmed' evidence is no good if the villains are then just told off.

No but it is a start and could be a deterant. But I agree it has to be backed up with prosecution and punishment. I do not think though that it is an argument for not having the cameras.

My neighbour has every conceivable anti-theft device imaginable. Flashing burglar alarm front and side, CCTV, huge arc lights which light up the driveway every time a mouse moves a whisker plus signs on the gate warning about the dog and CCTV.

The house is like Fort Knox.........but thats exactly the problem. It's a magnet for thieves and an open invitation and in the time i've lived here the house has been broken into more times than I care to remember. The last time even their Doberman dog slept peacefully through it all. He's since been sacked and is no longer around.

I have no alarm, no flashing lights, no silly signs....nothing. Never been broken into as I keep the house 'low profile'. Potential housebreakers probably give it a glance over and think no point in bothering as it looks like there isn't anying worth nicking. Thats fine by me. (lol)
