BobRix Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 The policing of this wedding is predicted to have to cost in the region of "10's of millions of £'s" according to the national press today. I propose that we cancel the Olympics in London thereby making cash available for the wedding. Maybe I'll get an invitation too:-S

Dave Newell Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Doesn't tradition say that the bride's father pays for the wedding? D.

D. Dont think the brides father has enough dosh to buy a bunch of daffs from the market. According to Wikipedia, Kates parents are millionaires who created an on-line company called Party Pieces which sells supplies for parties. So hopefully her dad will, at least, be able to supply the party poppers. ;-)
nightrider Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Some people are for royalty and some are not, I have nothing against them personally I just think that now they are an outdated institution. The Queen herself has done a sterling job but she is the last of her era the others couldn't hold a candle to her, I think she is holding on to keep Charles from the throne?
nowtelse2do Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 knight of the road - I think she is holding on to keep Charles from the throne? Poor sod must be bursting, eh Malc :-DDave
nightrider Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 I have read somewhere that whenever Charles visits friends or goes about his royal duties he takes his own personal toilet seat, probably it has the royal crest on it?
