Don Madge Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Last Friday (12 Nov) my wife renewed her over 70 driving license on line. The same day she posted the paper portion and the photo card (cut in two) to the DVLA Swansea. The license was received back by snail mail today. Can't complain about that service. Don
Stuart Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 I think luck was on her side Don, mine took from April to July, it did give me a few weeks extra on the "old"one though. I will say they kept sending me letters to tell me I could drive legally without it. Stuart
djchapple Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 My wife and I took the paper part of our driving licences abroad with us when we went to the USA and that was the last we saw of them. We are off to Madeira next week and will need the paper part of the licence to hire a car whilst there. So we had to order a complete licence at £20 each (the bad part) but we received the licences three days after ordering on line (the good part). I do hope we remember where we put them next time we need them.
