Hi

Our enduring memory of lake Garda was driving down the western side of it in a hired van many years ago. There are many tunnels, most of which are rough hewn, and many coaches driven by Italian coach drivers - all of which are coming towards you - fast.

The co-pilot said, at the end of the lake, that she had closed her eyes at some points. I admitted that I had mine closed for most of the time. We would not do it again!

That's a doddle compared to towing a caravan up the west side of lake Como.
