Condensation

Not sure that you can totally eliminate condensation. If you use the van when the external temperature is low but have the heating on and use the cooker then there is always going to be an element of condensation. The silver screens offer some protection in reducing condensation by providing a level of insulation but generally, first thing in the morning wipe off any excess moisture from windows and seals and open windows/skylights to allow some ventilation.

Hi

Big Momma gives good advice, you will have to buy a squeejy (or whatever its called) to clean the inside of the glass anyway, but if you can't find a suitable product to fit online then you could consider making your own.

We tried both Silverscreens and Taylormade for external screens for our Hymer and neither could help, so we made our own using insulation designed for lofts in buildings (sarking) and it isn't as pretty as a professionally made screen but is about twice as thermally efficient and is still going strong after two years.

We have an external "Silver Screen". Very good, combats condensation on the inside of the windscreen and keeps the van a lot warmer. However ....... you need to appreciate that humidity within the van will always condense somewhere when the temp falls at night.

Ask yourself where the coldest part of your van are, thats where condensation will form. .......... its in the lockers and behind cushions (as we found during last week!).

The physics of humidity and condensation will ensure that you can never elliminate condensation completely, you can only manage it with ventilation. Trouble is, when you open a door/window to ventilate you introduce more moist air from outside that will condense on the next heat/cool cycle!

I have to agree with daves. We have internal screens (as we wildcamp). There is a lot of condensation in winter but at least it has gathered somewhere that is easy to remove. I carry a small chamois-covered sponge in the cab.

We use Silver screens and find them good. We also have a sponge/foam block about 6" X 2"X 1" we have had it for years, it has to be kept damp, it holds a fantastic amount of water. Very useful for getting rid of condensation also for moping up spills. We have been looking to get another one, but as we cant remember where we got it its like looking for a needle in a haystack.
