Eriba trafic
Im asking this as twice ive been asked if i have a caravan or campingcar The first time i was looking at fresh water pumps/solar regulators & fridges i told them i was on a boat & was left alone The second time i wanted & got a gas bottle adapter.when i came back the second time to ask the price of their roller sun shades when they asked i said i had a campingcar, they said "we only deal with caravans"??? They would sell & fit a sun shade but why the difference? After all a motorhome is both a "delivery van" and "caravan"
Brian Kirby
What you have is generically a camping car, but is in fact a fourgon aménagé (van conversion). The attachments for the roller type sun canopies (if that is what you mean) would be different.
Eriba trafic
OH! The pull out sun shade that needs legs to hold it up costs about 200€ while a basic lowest price possible much smaller wind out supports its self one starts at 650€ If the roller needs legs one is caravan then i will be happy to adapt it! Do those prices sound "usual" i asked at one shop only & looked at outdoor bits which only have the roll out need legs type
jhorsf
The difference is one rips you off for thousands and the other tens of thousands!
Mel B
The shade known as a Fiamma Store I believe is the one that sits in a long 'bag' which you slide into the channel on a caravan (which is already there) and you then unroll the material and drop out the legs to support it. These are not normally meant to be permanently left on the side of a caravan when it is being moved around (Fiamma actually recommended you don't leave them on). The wind out type know as a Fiamma F451 etc are firmly attached to the side (normally on a motorhome) and winds out, with drop down legs. This type can be safely left on the side of the motorhome as you travel. The wind out ones tend to be larger than the roll out ones.
MandyAndy
this place might help with both items and prices, known to be some of the best prices and service around. http://www.agentfiamma.co.uk/erol.html You need to click on awnings in the side column My dealer sent me to them for something as he couldn't buy it at the price they were selling at the time. Eriba trafic
I looked at those,i didnt realise the one in a bag needs a profile which the "eriba" dosnt have pity :-S I dont want a large shade as the camper is not a large one shes under 6 meters (20 foot) The prices given seem to be the same i found in the French caravan shop i visited? I will have to look again
Derek Uzzell
Have you considered getting a drive-away awning of the sort shown on this website? http://www.driveaway-awnings.co.uk/categories/Outdoor-Revolution/
Homenaway
Hi,Reimo do sunshades that fit either into a caravan awning rail or clips onto a gutter if your motorhome has one.We bought one from Riversway for about £50 I think. We had one with our Autosleeper Symbol and I fitted an aluminium channel to the side of the hitop. It provided an adequate sun shade but we never left it out overnight. If you are lucky enough to have the January MMM it's shown on our van in the Camping Attermenzen site review :-) Steve

You can't - MMM magazine is not available on-line and scanning/copying sections of the magazine without first obtaining permssion from the publishers would infringe copyright. The attachments for the roller type sun canopies (if that is what you mean) would be different. Which, of course is wrong! What I think you have is a "pop-top" Eriba Car on a Trafic base. I'd forgotten them. That would classify in France as a camping-car profilé. What we would call a coachbuilt. You may need to try to hunt out a dealer specialising in Eribas, possibly enter your model number 530/580 as the search term to see if a second-hand one comes up. They may be able to help over the exhaust and where to get one, or get one made up, or possibly even repaired. I'm a bit inclined to suspect that the exhaust system will have been modified, possibly by no more than an added extension so it discharges clear of the extended bodywork. This guy has one for sale http://tinyurl.com/35z8zmd but not handy for you: just south of Montelimar. Couldn't find any others currently advertised. Derek Uzzell
Eriba 530/580 dimensions are given on http://www.rtmr.org/Eriba.htm The 530/580 designator seems to indicate the vehicle’s actual length (or near enough).
