HELP FRENCH Eriba Trafic forum Link desperatly needed

Eriba trafic

Recommended Posts

8-) Ive been to "google France" looking for Eriba trafic forums google only comes back with sites that SELL cars i did look just before christmas but found nothing :-S

I know there is a forum as a French person told me so but he didnt give me the link :-(

I disparately need a link as i have someone that can post in French B-) which dose help, but only for today :'(

Stupidly i thought that a French built Motor(bit of the home) would find parts in France at a better price than the UK *-) I was very wrong 8-) I MUST have a new exhaust soon :-( I didnt look when id bought her just left for France :-S

The least costly exhaust found so far (on ebay.fr)is 250€ in the UK its £60 but a full exhaust wont fit in my back pack/Train/ferry back to France 8-) :-( :-(

Therefore im DESPERATE TO FIND a Forum where i can ask where i can find an exhaust at an affordable price perhaps even fitted *-) It may be cold under my camper at the point the existing exhaust falls apart 8-)

GOOGLE France did come back with this link:http://www.motorhomefacts.com

In my experience of France just about everything is at least 50% more expensive than in the UK. Even if you manage to source an exhaust that is cheap by the time you add carriage charges any saving will almost certainly be eradicated.

Your original post implied you were in France. As that's not the case then one bought in the UK is likely to be the cheapest option by the time everything is taken into account.

This is a french Trafic-related website with an active forum:

http://www.trafic-amenage.com/

and this is a UK one:

http://www.rtmr.org/

These are 3 french Eriba-related forums, but they are more for Eriba caravans than motorhomes:

http://www.forumeribatouring.com/

http://passion-eriba.easyforum.fr/

http://www.lesamisderiba.fr/Le-forum-des-Amis-d-Eriba

I'd be surprised if there were a forum dedicated to Renault Trafic-based Eriba motorhomes as they are pretty rare.

I wish you well with your search for an exhaust. I had a front pipe blow on a Fiat Ducato and used SPEEDY a national French chain that took 2 days to source one due to it being different to a LHD version. The price was highish but they got the job done. It turns out they are part of the UK Quick Fit chain. There is just a small chance that they may be able to help from the UK. You may have read my very recent problems aired on here within the last 2 weeks. I still have not located a purpose made tailpipe on my MK6 Transit. After the advice received on here I will have a stainless Steel one made. Things have however come to a halt due to xmas. :-D

Forums noted visited and online exhaust supplier found exhaust bought ;-) No email YET to say not in stock etc *-) SHOULD be in Cognac by friday *-) If not ill stay there over new year should arrive by the following week (?) It says "collisimo" 48hrs FROM the time they post it

Also found this it could be VERY good as prices are reasonable for France & prices can be checked online before visiting the garage *-) OH fogot the link 8-) http://www.yakarouler.com/garage/assemblyCenter

Speedy is VERY expensive at £390 just £100 less than Renault 8-) *-)

You seem to regularly request help with a problem or four ! The 'regulars' ferret around and assist where they can, with either advice or a link to a useful website.

Call me old fashioned, but you never say 'thanks for your help'. Why is that?

I'm British. I see. You don't. End of.

Yes he does - just not all the time!

Why should this worry you, please, as you don't appear to have been directly involved with the 'Eriba trafic' threads? (And Mandy has only offered advice once on one of them.)

Me, if I wanted to be 'stroked' for my efforts, I'd participate on a forum with push-button thanking.
