Rod_vw
Shield Total Insurance for Self Build campers cannot offer me insurance for a new base vehicle. It would seem that they have a value limit of £15,000 on the base vehicle and £25,000 on the completed item. Does anyone have any suggestions for an insurance company who may be able to offer cover on a £26,000 base vehicle rising to £36,000 when completed. And a sensible premium of course! Rod_vw
Andy_C - 2011-01-24 3:13 PM Adrian Flux is usually worth a try for self builds. Andy Thanks Andy, I've been there, they will insure it but the premium is high. It's over twice what my three year old T5 of almost identical spec and insurance requirements was quoted at renewal time last November!

I've also taken the liberty of amending the website link in the quote above to lead directly to the forum. Sorry to be presumptuous.
