snail
Hi all, 2005 built 2.8 ducato maxi based Hymer, 21,500 mls, cambelt replacement now due? i think so, what should be changed apart from the belt itself? will be going into Brownhills swindon for the work, (yes i know about them), but after the inial problems, when van was new, they have been ok with the servicing etc regards Brian
ekka
All tensioners but with Brownhills how will you know ?, and I was told by my local garage ( althought he may have been gold digging) the water pump as well. Whilst they are under their get them to check out your sump pan, apparantly on the 2.8 jtd this can rust externally big time and eventually leak, I know because it's happened to me, mind you it is a 2003 van. If is OK brush some engine oil on it would be good advice I think.
onecal
Good advice Eric, Change eveything that touches the belt and yes an eye on the sump is important as is the oil condition in the gearbox, You don't always have to use a dealer.
