Altering a 12v air pump fitting..?

Sorry,bit of a vague title.. :$

...I've got a 12v Michelin air pump,like this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MICHELIN-HI-POWER-TYRE-INFLATOR-12262-/350428653188?pt=UK_Air_Tools_and_Compressors&hash=item51972ce684

..and as you can see the connector on the hose is screw-on type and this can be a bit fidddly when removing it from the tyre valve(..meaning loads of air escapes! )and what I'd like to do is replace/alter it for the push/hold on type, like this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CO1A03-PCL-TYRE-INFLATOR-CONNECTOR-TWIN-HOLD-NIB-/150545138709?:pt=UK_Air_Tools_and_Compressors&hash=item230d308415

(..at the moment I over inflate slightly then adjust with a seperate gauge).

I don't really want to just cut the pipe and end up with some jubilee clipped bodge.I'd rather try and get a proper fitting(s),if at all possible.Could anyone "in the know" point me in the direction of somewhere that I may be able find something...

The trouble is around here, all of the little motor factors/garage/tool supplies place have gone..so I'm not to sure where to start looking/asking..

Thanks for any help or ideas..

How does the air hose connect to the pump? It may well have a threaded fitting in which case you might be able to replace the whole hose - or maybe get a hose that will screw into the valve fitting and not only give you the clip on fitting but also extend the hose as well?

I bought a push on type at one of the shows. About £8 or 10 as I recall. It has a female threaded tapping and just screwed on instead of the old one.

I would add that I looked for a long time before I found one, think it was at Great Dorset Steam Fair.
