Tony Jones
Never heard of the conversion, but we ran a 1989 Transit for 8 years with a basic conversion someone had done themselves - you should get a great life out of it. The old 2litre petrol engine (known for some reason as the "Pinto") goes on forever and is just about old enough for DIY fixes when needed. You'll need to give a bit more info - maybe even a picture - for any of us to advise you about your rail job though. Where in the van is it to go (I know - in the shower! :-D - but where's that?)
