naittaw
I hope to escort family cyclists from Mizen Head to Mallin Head during the last fortnight in July and first week in August. Does anyone know if I am likely to find "site full" signs ? Can I risk it or had I better stick to a route plan and book sites ? Any advice would be very welcome. Does anyone publish an "Ireland only" sites directory ?

Stuart
Hi, It is a few years since I was there early August but my recollection is that they have August Bank Holiday at the beginning of the month as we used to do here in England & Wales. You may find it is a busy weekend. The Irish Caravan Council, www.camping-ireland.ie, publish a booklet covering sites in the Republic and Northern Ireland, used to be free on request to them, chargeable from the tourist offices. naittaw
Thank you very much for your replies. Having done Lands End to John o'Groats last year we gained some experience - sometimes the hard way ! I think I must have thrown out the MMM Booklet that came with the Feb. Mazgazine. I lose patience with the junk mail that comes with the mag. Serves me right. Camping Ireland.ie dont seem to advertise their booklet/directory on their web site.
