art338
I hardly ever watch a TV programme 'direct' these days. I select all the programmes that I think may be interesting and record them. I then watch them in 'my time'. It is then very easy to fast forward or eliminate the entire session as required. No hassle, no grumpiness, no adverts, no rubbish bits, no complaints !! Its a bit like an old newspaper where one can enjoy or chuck away 'old news' and best of all you know by then what big fibs they were telling you! art

Mel B
We've done this for years, much easier to watch it when it suits us, rather than when the TV schedulers dictate. Since we've changed to hard drive recorders its simply a matter of finding it on the electronic programme guide in advance and pressing the record button, it then automatically does it when it comes on, it's ideal if there's a series as one extra 'click' records them all! :-D
Madmaggott
We also find that it is better to record the programmes that we want to watch, we always set it for the series link so that none of the series is missed. We hardly ever used our old video recorder and if we did, we forgot to watch the recorded programmes anyway! It's far better to be able to 'whizz' through the adverts on commercial television anyway, even if we are watching the programme on the same evening as it is shown. Marvellous thing, technology!
