We visited the garden in early September 2009. There is a small (free) car park adjacent to Monet's house/garden, a matter of yards away (a 6-7 metre motorhome would get in there ok - we did). Failing that, there is another much larger car/coach park about(?) half mile away.

Don't know about public transport.

This car park also acts as a free Aire and we have stayed there 4 times now without any problems. It is literally a minutes walk to the entrance to the gardens. Our technique is to arrive lateish and see the gardens when the tourist coaches have gone and things are getting quiet

Provided that you are travelling 'out of season' you should not have any trouble parking.

Hi Gil

Completely agree with all the comments about parking at the Monet gardens, very easy to park, ample room for motorhomes.

We see you are going to Les Anderleys - don't forget to go and see Richard the Lionheart's castle with wonderful views of the river and ample parking, fantastic structure built in 12 months! (I think, with French slave labour). If you listen or read the French version of the fall of the castle under John's rule, don't forget to research the English version, which is vastly different to the French!

We turned in to the Car Park opposite the gardens and the attendent was having a fit ! he was waving his arms and going potty :-D in the end we turned into a road that we had already reversed out of thinking it wasnt wide enough for us! we were fine it was right outside the cafe and there was another couple of vans there, it was well worth the visit, although they wont let you take photographs inside his house but we managed a couple looking out onto the garden from upstairs, oh and you have to leave pooch in the Van.
