Guest Catherine
Hi, does anyone know where I can get a replacement engine for an FFB motorhome (tabbert classic 570 twin axel rigid body 1993). Current dead engine is: peugot diesel turbo 2500cc. Alternatively, can anyone advise on if it's possible to replace with other types of engine. Apparently the space for the engine is quite small. Any help much appreciated. Someone drove our van into the ground without water and blew the pistons!!! thanks Cath
Guest Frank Gordon
Oh dear! I once did the same with a BMW motorbike when I let the oil-level drop too low - expensive noises and an expensive bill to follow. It might be possible to replace your current motor with something different (say a Fiat 2.8 litre), but I wouldn't recommend it as you would probably need to swap the complete engine/transmission package. Whether you will be better off getting a complete replacement 2nd-hand motor or having your present motor repaired depends on the severity of the damage. For expert advice I suggest you contact the Talbot specialists who replied to the "fran" posting of 26/10/2005. Best of luck Frank
