bigal
Rayjsj - 2011-03-17 10:25 PM We took our fitted carpets out of the van, and stored them in the loft for if/when we sell it. We bought several machine washable mats and a runner to cover the vinyl floor. Then if we or the dog make a mat mucky we can just shove it in the washing m/c. Why do motorhome makers put in 'crazy light' coloured carpets and upholstery ?? To hell with passing fashion, we want durable, washable fabrics in 'sensible' colours. At least removable carpets were a step foward, and a lot better than the old fitted carpet.Yep!! We did the same with the blue carpets out of our van, we also bought some vinyl floor cleaner to remove any scuffs or matks that may occur on the vinyl. We fixed non-slip material to the backs of the small dirt collecting mats and the runner. Jobs a good 'un!!! :-D B-)
murphy99
Hi Poppy, Recently taken delivery of new Van in France where we live. Friend had a problem with static but so far we unaffected. Friend in UK suggested Magimats which they use and recommend. They are rubber backed and washable and come in different sizes and colour. From memory www.magimats.co.uk. hope this may help.
