Randonneur
We met a couple 2 years ago in France and they were from Scotland who take their Parakeet with them wherever they go. It was chipped and had its own passport they told us and they had never had a problem. When they are travelling it stays in a cage but when parked up it flies about the motorhome and doesn't even try to escape even when the door is open. It was a remarkable little bird. They kept covers on the seats as a precaution and also had a wooden perch on the front dash of their A Class so it could watch what was going on outside. 747
It will depend on which breed of Parrot you have. I would look for information on birds protected under CITES. Crossing borders with a bird protected by this legislation will mean it is important to have the correct paperwork or risk having it taken away from you.
