Just been reading update in Practical wireless magazine on the Chancellors intention to tax incoming emails, They have been informed by reliable 'inside' sources that the Government Communications (GCHQ) Headquarters in Cheltenham is to start providing taxation information on incoming e-mails from April 2011 (The option to tax out-going E-mails in the future remains a possibility)The inside reports suggest a 5p per recieved e-mail. The government has never denied that GCHQ monitors the internet here in UK-although ministers are refusing to confirm or deny that (Taxation Metering) is now in place, awaiting the Ministerial 'switch on'.
