Good value Club Sites

We have just returned from 3 nights at a CCC site in The Peak District - £4.70 per night for both of us with Age Concession discount. Admittedly, we chose not to have electric hook-up and the site does not have loos or showers. Nevertheless, it is a lovely site with many super walks possible directly from the site. Many people were enjoying the beautiful weather, the ambience of the site and the leisure opportunities. Even in High Season, when Age Concessions do not apply, the cost for 2 adults on a standard pitch is only £.8.90.

The CC has 6 sites in England and 2 in Wales which do not have loo/shower blocks but do include EHU for £10 per pitch (including children) at any time of year.

It is possible in the UK to have good value motorhoming on sites in very pleasant countryside. Not everything is "rip off Britain".

I suspect I can guess which one! Is access a little bit "tight"?

Age Concession is quite useful isn't it?

I have just returned from a weekend at a different C&CC site in the Peak District, which has newly installed hardstandings and electric(which don't as yet show up in the sites book or on the website - but do on the on-line booking system), doesn't take caravans (only motorhomes and tents) and does have loos and showers.

Likewise, many good walks straight from the site.

£10.65 a night for two of us (with H/S and electric), again with Age Concession.

It is also possible to have a grass pitch with electric (same price), or without, (for just under £7).

Prices obviously rise slightly in season.

We've used it before a few times without H/S and electric, but the H/S in particular will make it more attractive for extended season use.

We can do better than that, although not a club site (it wouldn't be would it as it was cheap) . Have just returned from a weekend at Tattershall Lakes Country Park, £4 per night without hook up, but superb toilet and shower facilities, plus shop, clubhouse with free entertainment, jet ski and waterski lake, great walks for the dog and easy walk into the village. They are doing midweek holiday (5 nights) for £25. and the best bit is beer at £1.50 per pint. Can't be bad.
