B-) ...and the UK is not that well represented ........ but then when you read the list it seems to be another 'Axis' job -mainly Germany and Italy. armstrongpiper
At first look, this appears to be a nightmare for touring, especially in Italy. Fortunately, I got a sticker for Germany last year, and generally I don't drive in cities if I can avoid it, preferring to camp away from the place and use buses/trains for visiting. Guest JudgeMental
We are passing through Germany on way to Croatia this summer....Will I need one? where can I get it please?
whisturx
Easiest way to get an emmission sticker using the link. From memory you need to scan your UK log book. They accept credit cards as well.If you intend to go into German towns/cities it is a requirement in many. Some stellplatz's are in the emmission zones http://www.umwelt-plakette.de/umweltzone%20berlin.php We are heading for Croatia late May as well. Its the dreaded GO BOX for us !!! Still last time it worked out at 36 euros, but is more direct than through Switzerland. May see you there !

We went in 2008 right down to Dubrovnik and then ferried to Bari,Italy. Going back to fill in the bits we missed.

Easiest and cheapest way, Eddie, is to call at any major garage (not necessarily your own main dealer) on the outskirts of the first German city you reach, and show them your V5. In 2009 it cost me €5. By the way, I'm back in the UK. Check out our blog: http://www.travelpod.com/travel-blog/tonyssabbatical/1/tpod.html I wonder how many threads I can get that into? net-traveller
May find this web link useful for germany http://www.umweltbundesamt.de/umweltzonen-e/index.htm If you take the tabular option you can then look at the individual PDFs.
