w1ntersun
What amperage is the site supply ? As it works at home this is the firast thing to check. When the site trips it may be causing the van to trip out as well.
Rayjsj
Almost certainly you exceeded the supply amperage, which sounds like it was less than 10amps. Some continental supplies are as low as 5 amps ! hardly worth the extra charge. For Electric Water Heating and van heating a supply of at least 13amp is required. That's why so few Continental vans have the Electric option fitted to their Truma heaters/hot water. Or an electric hob on any Oven (if Fitted). One of the reasons i don't even consider Continental Vans (you can pay a £100,000 for a Carthago and STILL not get an Oven !!). *-) Ray
Brian Kirby
A (very) quick look at Truma's website suggests the Ultrastore draws about 4A at 230V, so it shouldn't be the consumption that is tripping the site pillar. Is the supply to your van at home via an RCD or ELCB? Most site supplies will be, so if your house supply isn't, and it is only on sites that the van trips the supply, I'd be a bit inclined to start investigating for a earth fault in the van.
