davanne
Hi Can anyone reccomend a tow bar cycle carrier for new shape fiat ducato We have a door mounted at present on our panel van conversion but due to health problems my husband is unable to lift the bikes onto it. We only bought it earler this year but sadly we will have to change it. Any reccomendations gratefully received. (lol)
Guest JudgeMental
a tow bar mounted one? But expensive if you have no tow bar...Nice and low with no heavy lifting but with a panel van you then cant open the rear door :-S I think there is one available for motorhomes with a hydraulic style lift...may be worth a look, may be adaptable? have you considered lighter bikes? Mel B
Thule do a 964 swing out rack but I'm blowed if I can find it for sale in the UK! Watch the video - after about 2 mins 15 seconds you'll see how it swings! http://wn.com/Thule_964_Revolver_Hitch_Bike_Rack_Review_Video_&_Review
davanne
We have a tow bar..... can't have lighter bikes as due to health problems we need electric bikes. We do however remove batteries so they are alot lighter but still hard to lift to the door mounted rack. Anyone looking for a fiamma door mounted rack for new shape ducato? Guest ChrisB
We have a Bak-Rak which takes two cycle carriers as used on roof bars (purchased throug the same suplier). Also use it with a luggage box. Very versatile. http://www.bak-rak.com/

bigmoney2
We use the Thule 916 for 2 electric bikes. As stated you can't open the rear doors once its on and it does weigh 18kg, but is very secure. Also available is a small ramp to avoid any lifting which we bought but rarely use. It's used on a Fiat Ducato van conversion. Jules
