Whiskeymac
Does anyone have any comments, good or bad, about guarantees advertised for batteries. For example, Elecsol give a 7 year guarantee on their AGMs, but I read that one customer, on having one fail after 4 years, was offered only 3 years of battery value in recompense. I believe that after making a big fuss and after some time, he did get a replacement. I'm not sure on what forum I read this.
peterandlinda
Hi We bought two Elecsols from Dave Newell and he was very careful to ensure that we registered the purchase for guarantee purposes. I understand that some people have had problems if the batteries weren't registered. P&L
Whiskeymac
From the lack of response I guess that few, if any, have submitted a claim. That's reassuring I suppose.
Dave Newell
I've been selling Elecsol batteries for six years and haven't had a single customer complaint about them. D.
Whiskeymac
Thanks Dave. This wasn't actually a question about Elecsol specifically, but a general question about the worth of guarantees; just mentioned a report on an Elecsol failure as an example. Hopefully that was a one off and that the battery had been flogged. However, as you're a supplier, do Elecsol state terms and conditions for their guarantee? They don't appear to publish one on their website.
