Don Madge
For those planning a trip to Greece via ferry the following site will be a big help. It has all the ferry companies and it is very user friendly. http://www.greekferries.gr/index.html For those travelling with pets this link will be very useful. http://www.greekferries.gr/pets.htm Safe travelling. Fred Duck
But be careful of the booking fee. Rhodes to Symi is €32 one way for two people with Dodecanese Seaways as foot passengers booked direct (booked it last week). Booked through this web site, an additional €15 Booking Fee is added. Perhaps use the web site to find you ferry and then book direct? FD
Don Madge
Thanks for that Fred. As we only travel out of season we never book ferries before leaving home. We check the ferry timetables in advance then just roll up and take what is on offer. Don

If you book in advance you're taking a gamble that you'll be there to catch it. This time, however, the current situation with ferries to Symi (or lack of them) is such that if we did just turn up we might well find it full so we've taken the gamble.
