chas Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Hi- My Fiamma roll out awnings plastic end caps have become discoloured with age. The polar white metal casing is as bright as when new, so I intend to mask round the caps and paint them, and was wondering which type of paint would be the best. I was thinking of using smooth white Hammerite as it drys quickly, but I would not want any paint to react with plastic ,or for that matter start peeling off later on. Anyone performed such a task, and what paint did you use ? Thanks for any suggestions.
Robinhood Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Have you thought of buying a couple of new ones? There is always a chance they aren't still available for your particlular model if it is old/obsolete, but the price for current models is not particularly excessive. If I recall correctly, they were not much over a tenner each.
flicka Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Agree with Robinhood, much easier to replace them. http://www.leisureshopdirect.com/Caravan/outdoor/Awning_spares/Fiamma_Awning_Spare_Parts.aspx (& scroll down)
