I am Australian and I own an English registered (French insusred) motorhome. I spend around six months of the year in Europe and for the balance of the time I am in Australia or elsewhere and need somewhere to store it. Any advice would be appreciated. Randonneur Posted May 27, 2011 Share Posted May 27, 2011 The problem you have got at the moment is that although you have French Insurance, officially it only lasts for 4 months and during that time you have to re-register the vehicle to French plates. I am surprised your French Insurance Company hasn't pointed this out. If you have an accident then they can use this as an excuse to not pay you out.
