peter lambert
Anyone got any thoughts on how to extend the clutch pedal on our Fiat Ducato based motorhome? My wife cannot fully depress the clutch, although she used to be able to on our old van, which was based on the same chassis/cab. It seems there may have been a slight design change in the seating/ pedal arrangements.
Brian Kirby
Peter You don't say if your van has seat swivels, but these do raise the seats by an inch or so and cause problems for quite a few people. One, probably not ideal, solution may be to remove the swivel for the problem seat. It is possible to get lower seat boxes, but these are not cheap. Have a scour through the MMM ads for firms offering replacement seats and swivels. However, do first check the available clearances beneath the seats - the battery and/or electrical control box etc are sometimes located there.
