MandyAndy
Just some of the places we would go if heading down as far as Pont Gironde where there is an excellent aire but little cycling , great beach at St Georges just up the road.
Robinhood
dawki - 2011-07-03 11:22 AM We never got to Lot valley etc this time but all in all a really really great and relaxing time so thanks so very much for all the help you gave me. ....but that is what it is all about! (and one of the great advantages of motorcaravanning). Go with the makings of a plan, but be preapred to change it or slow down if you're enjoying yourself (or not). Glad you enjoyed the Ile de Re, France isn't going anywhere, and there's plenty of time to go back and explore other places. :-D
murphy99
Hi dawki New member living in France. You had some good advice already but you may want to look at campingdeslacs.fr in Limousin. Like the English Lake District but hot hot hot at the moment. More Herons, Buzzards, Finches than you can shake a stick at, and good cycling. Another suggestion is Beynac near Sarlat, several good sites. Personally, we avoid the coast from mid July to end of August as it very crowded.
