nuevoboy
We're looking to book some sites for a forthcoming trip and as CC members have found all the sites we want booked. We've actually located 3 C&CC sites that would suit us perfectly and are considering joining them too. Having looked at the site pricing, can someonhe please tell us: If we were C&CC members, would we just pay the "per person per night" rate (that is, no pitch rate as with the CC)? If this is that case, we'd save money by joining within the first 7 days. :-) Ta.
colin
You pay per person plus pitch fee, depending on which type of pitch you are on.
Brambles
You pay per person and if you want a serviced pitch ( Electric and hardstanding) then you pay a few pounds more supplement). Some sites do not have the option of a standard pitch without electric so you end up having to pay a few pounds for the serviced pitch even though you do not want electric. So basically members do not pay the standard pitch fee which I think is about £7.50 now. So yes, in a week, you have saved more than your membership. I think, Colin, you have got comfused with the serviced pitch supplement.

You membership cards are marked accordingly.
Harvey
If you are a member you pay only 'per person'. A 'service pitch' is either a 'hardstanding', an 'electric hook up' ( ehu ) or both, although in practice you are unlikely to find any 'hardstandings' without a hook up on it. So: if you don't need ehu or a hardstanding, it is just 'per person'. If you want ehu ( service pitch ) it is an aditional £3.55* whether the ehu is provided on a grass pitch or with hardstanding. * There are a very few sites where the 'service pitch' charge is more. tugga
And the C&CC do some really nice overseas rallies that don't cost the earth too. :-D We belong to both, but mainly use CC for UK and C&CC for Europe.
nuevoboy
Thanks for your replies. We're going to try one last time for the CC site we really wanted, and if no joy, will commit to C&CC.
Hopesy
If you're booking the cc sites through the interweb try phoning the sites directly quite often they'll accomodate you! :-D
