royb1968
Hi, I need to replace the canopy on my Pilote Galaxy. Only the actual material is damaged (ripped in a high wind) so I am hoping not to have to replace the whole thing. Does anyone have any tips? Cheers. Brian Kirby
It would be a good idea to speak to the nearest agent for whichever canopy your's is, and find out what is possible, and at what cost.
Robinhood
Welcome to the forum, Roy. How big is the rip? It sounds like it may be fairly large, and so this may not help, but - It is possible to repair quite substantial tears using a repair kit, which are available for either Omnistor or Fiamma awnings. I've succesfully used an Omnistor kit in the past to repair damage, but possibly smaller than you have got?.
royb1968
Hi, Thanks for that, didn't realise these kits were available. It's a pretty big rip but I'll investigate to see if it's repairable. Cheers, Roy.

thebishbus
Hi. I repaired the canopy on my previous M/H. The rip was about 2ft long on the one side just after where it attaches to the roller.I repaired with the tape but I had a problem winding it back in, the extra thickness of the tape on the one side caused the canopy to roll in unevenly and would not close properly, I solved the problem by adding a same length piece of tape in a similar position on the other side of the canopy. ;-) Brian B.
