Thetford warning light

The warning light on my Thetford cassette has ceased to operate (a common problem, I believe). I'm told that a common cause is a sticking float so i stuck my hand in and confirmed that it moved freely. (Yes, I did wash my hands afterwards). I checked the fuse which seemed OK. Does anyone have any other diy solutions and have you any idea of how many arms and legs it would cost to hand the problem over to the professionals?

Like yours my warning light ceased to function ages ago but I have not found it a problem. I know it doesn't answer your question but when the light did work I always found the cassette very heavy so now I use Lidls bio washing liquid and empty it once a day. Easy on the arms and easy on the pocket
