robertandjean
Hi Kelly 58, Thanks for the details of your trip, sounds great. This is an area of France we always enjoy visiting and have stayed on many of the aires you mention, but not Valanjou and Le-Coudray-Macourd so any futher info on these would be appreciated. As you point out the low cost of staying on aires, plus lower fuel costs do add to the benefits of visting France. As stated previously cost is not the main reason we stay on aires but it is good that the cost benefits are pointed out also.
Homenaway
Hi,We stayed one night at Valanjou last year. Did you get to share the free hookup? You spent four nights there? IMHO It's not in one of the most beautiful parts of France - sort of in between the Loire and the Vendee and a bit of a commuter village for Angers judging by the traffic in the late afternoon. But it's a pleasant small free aire by a small park with stream and trimtrail although a couple of local's cars were parked in it when we arrived and the entrance track is bit narrow. Useful as a stop over though.Steve
