The aire at Cognac is now reduced to 3 motorhomes .There is no parking allowed on the aire at Chateau Gontier the service point is still open, but you can park over on the other side of the river in the calf market. At Segre you need a spanner or pliers to operate the tap to obtain water which is situated in the public toilet.

Just a little more info re some of above:

There are no services at Buxy as it is an aire de stationment not an aire de service (ie parking only), but suspect the "All the Aires" book does not make this clear. Always good reports re Givry; another good aire which we have used in same area is St-Gengoux-Le-National.

Sevrier, as pointed out was never an official aire and parking restrictions have been introduced, so we understand, due to some vans setting up a "campsite" there.

Clarification with regard to Cognac; There are 3 marked spaces for camping-cars to stay overnight but 40 further spaces for cars which vans sometimes use. In addition there are 4 spaces next to aire point where vans can stay for max of 2 hours.

Chateau Gontier. The building of new boat moorings has resulted in the parking of motorhomes being stopped on side of river next to aire point. The parking on the otherside is however unrestricted and nice enough with river views.
