naittaw
Would someone please explain for me the significance of the extreme left column. On some threads I have a page with turned down corner, some with added green background tick, and some with orange rosette. I can't work out their significance. Mel B
If you hover your mouse pointer over the items you find: the green tick = new thread the little rosette = hot topic I haven't come across the turned down corner yet!!! Mel
naittaw
Thanks Mel B. Doesn't seem to add a lot to user-friendliness !
Mel E
So what's the little green star next to some postings about then? When you hold the mouse over it you get a number (like 25)?

Derek Uzzell
So where's my Gold Star then????
Norma
Derek, is your tongue in your cheek? I think the counter has only just counting. We've all been cancelled! You haven't been vocal enough yet. So who will come up with the first gold star?
Mel B
Norma How have you managed to put a photo on your postings?
Derek Uzzell
Norma: As you must be aware I've been a prolific poster in the past and a rough check reveals I've input about 250 entries during the last 8 months. So, as my 'credibility/reliability' counter has been set to zero, at a similar rate of posting it would take over 13 more years to earn a Gold Star. Won't happen for me as I'm now on a self-imposed forum diet.
naittaw
Derek, I hopr thr diet is not too severe since your contributions are much valued by some of us.

Brian Kirby
Oh, yes: I forgot to say - all the green stars are worth 25, irrespective of the number of posts, so you can relax Derek! It isn't the diet wot dun it!Now, just what is going on, and in what units are the 25 being counted?
Clive
We're all doomed! a "Moderator" has raised its ugly head. No such things were necessary on the old MMM forum.
Mel B
Er, sorry to correct you Clive, but there was a 'moderator' - don't you remember the postings that mysteriously disappeared? Especially if motorhome dealerships were being criticised??? Or am I living in a parallel universe???
Administrator
Moderators are always necessary. We do the spring cleaning, water the plants and make an excellent cup of tea. Cuppa anyone?
Norma
Mel Sorry about delay. Just popped in today. (nothing like stating the obvious!) If you click on 'control panel' in the box top right, you will find an icon and 'Control panel'. That will bring up your info. In the box ' Profile image URL' you download a piccie. It has to be fairly low, memory wise. Ours is really a piccie of hubby, myself and the dog all hanging of the van. We use the picture on our postcards like a company name at the top. We've bought one of those little photo printers, add a sticky label the same size as the photo, Preprinted with the address etc and then we have our own boring postcards. Good luck
