Hi Dave, Couldn't find Lux flakes, but, the above could be a good substitute.

Anyone know if you can still get (and where) Lux Soap Flakes, It was the best stuff for gentle washing of leather, to many additives in soap powder.

Please, no name calling or arguments *-)

Dave

I think they were withdrawn from the market some years ago.

I tried putting 'Lux Soap Flakes ' into Google , but all I got was a clean Google.

;-)

Hi ya Ria, Lovely to see you're still around, Lot of members seam to have gone unfortunately, No Jannie, Joy, Howie etc. Thanks for the lead will have a look. I Googled Lux and all I found was a Lux forum in America that was a few years old. A forum for washing, it makes the mind boggle 8-) :D

Love ya Dave xx

Ria, I don't have an account with Amazon but my daughter does, so I've asked her to get me some and she said ok BUT...!! I now find myself in a very embarrassing situation, if you scroll down on the page where its advertised there is a half naked woman on it.

I have done a full zoom (400%) on this bit of Pornography a few times, only just to make sure you understand and that I was not mistaken. I do hope my daughter does not see this as she is just a mear child of 34 and it may giver her the wrong impression of her father.

Just by chance, do you know any more of these sites so that I can check them out, only as a precaution you understand in case I need her to send for other items.

Love Dave xx :-D

Hi Dave, Many thanks for your kind words, yes, miss so many of the previous posters, and the happy banter we all had, never any arguments were there? OMG what have I done sending inappropriate pic's on the forum this was never my intention. I do apologise, But, it will teach me to scroll the whole page wont it? cant think why you scrolled down either, when the product was near the top of the page.

Ha ha, if you thought I was going to believe that, you are wrong. Also are you trying to 'walk in' Howie's shoes, Nice to know you still care, though. after all this time, xx Loves ya too. and behave yourself,

(lol) (lol) xx

Wonder if they all got barred 8-)

I scrolled down to see if there was anything cheaper, been taking lessons off pelmetman in the art of thrift, but I think I've a long way to go yet. Only bloke I know who can drive with his hands in his pocket's :-D

Dave

I was recomended to use "Dove" toilet soap for cleaning my cream leather suite. I found it to be good, as it (apparently) has no chemicals in it . I believe you can buy soap with no added chemicals (may be called PURE) , I have noticed that shops do not have such a variety of soap now. I used to like "Lifebouy" and the lovely brown "Pears" (Showing my age)

Dave.

If Pelmetman is so thrifty, why doesn't he let (Sue) drive the motorhome. He would save pounds

It's a well known fact, that women have a lighter touch on the pedals. therefore. fuel consumption is lower. Wait for it now Dave, this is bound to cause the argument you dont want.

(lol) (lol) Ria. xx

Ria, he would never let Sue drive, It would be slight on his 'Macho Pouffe Seller's' image :-D :-D

If the van was powered by pedals you can bet your life Sue would be driving.

Poor Sue, can just imagine her, a bit like Cinderella dressed in rags, paper in the soles of her shoes and all because of his meanness :-(

Dave xx

PS. Thanks PJay will try the Dove if the flakes don't work.

I'll have you know I would love to have Sue drive the camper:D..............But she refuses to learn8-)..........I tried to give her lessons years ago when I had a Frog eye sprite.............Soon decided for the sake of our marriage it was not a good idea;-)

As for paper on the soles of her shoes, I took Sue to Louth market on Wednesday for some new inserts as she was complaining about the holes*-)..................These women have no idea of thrift(lol)...............worse part was I had to buy a pair as they don't sell them singly8-)
