Mel B
... and has been for ages. 8-) Our front way is up to 2 inches underwater in places, it's coming up the drain/sewer (lovely ... not >:-( ) and flowing across our front way and out through the gate, then down the road, fortunately it's just half an inch too low to get into our bungalow thank goodness. :-S We've had this before but the Water Board put in a non-return valve ... it was inspected about a month ago and passed as working okay ... yeah, right, that's why we've got goodness knows what all over our front way. *-) Just waiting for Yorkshire Water to come round to sort it out. We had a lovely waterfall off the back of our camper though, so at least our putting it on levelling blocks at the front has ensured that it doesn't sit on top! :-D

BGD
For pities sake Mel, send some down this way! In August the Med coast of Spain turns into an oven. Yet another day of 35 degrees in the shade, and now, as I type, at 12.45am, still 24 degrees ambient. Even our pool is showing 31 degrees now..... I so love the inventor of Air-con............our big bills are not for heating but for cooling.

Mel B
I don't have a problem with the rain as such, the garden needed it anyway, but it's all the sh*t that comes out from the drains ... literally!!! 8-) The drain cleaners have been here today and found that the pipes to the main sewere were really bunged up, and the non-return valve had come off it's bracket, hence why we ended up with the mess we have. Oh well, at least we'll get a reduction in our sewerage bill!! *-)
