This earlier forum-thread may be of general interest to you.

Regarding 'masks' for X/250 headlights, there are photos showing where they should go on this webpage:

However, it's noticeable that (unsurprisingly) the left headlamp needs a very differently-shaped mask to the right one.

My own view is that you should - for various reasons - forget about using masks and employ translucent purpose-designed beam-deflectors ('beam benders'). The most commonly sold product is branded "Eurolites" and the least expensive on-line supplier is probably:

However, as you've left yourself so little time before your trip, it's worth adding that Eurolites beam-deflectors are also widely available from high-street motor accessory shops (eg Halfords), at ferry ports or on cross-Channel ferries.

Eurolites are supplied in a pack of two deflectors and precise fitting instructions for a large range of vehicles are included. You'll see from the Eurolites listing on the following link that X/250 Boxers are covered:

Fitting just involves making sure the headlamp's outer surface is clean, then following the Eurolites instructions regarding where the deflector should be positioned. It's a 5-minute job at most.
